Hello,
I have opened a ticket with Nanoleaf with seemingly a known issue with their Skylight as it keeps producing an audible buzz every time is turned off, and I can tell you that buzzing sound is on a high pitch that is intolerable.
The ticket is raised since November 2024… and the entire support team have ghosted me since then, and in a surprising answer from one of their support reps. it was like "Yes that issue is there, take it or leave it", and I have asked them hey! I will stop bothering you if point me to where it says that the panels produces a buzzing high pitch sound and perhaps its a feature on their product and I am more than happy to comply! but yeah! ghosted and not even a single update nor a replacement for the defect product…
If anyone out there that have had the same issue and managed to solve it or found a way around please help!
hi @green__frost__218
Could you DM your Skylight's serial number and the ticket number to me.
Thanks

That buzzing issue sounds incredibly frustrating especially with no proper support from Nanoleaf. If you're into capturing odd sounds like that for creative projects, you could even turn it into a custom soundbutton! I’ve experienced the same issue with a subtle buzzing sound coming from my skylight even when it’s turned off. In my case, it turned out to be a low-level electrical feedback from a dimmer switch on the same circuit. Using a tool like DeepSeek actually helped me track similar user reports and narrow down possible causes. Try checking for shared circuits or switching to a standard switch-could make a big difference.Website:https://deepseekturkce.com/

Interesting issue! A buzzing sound from a skylight when it's off could indicate residual electrical current or a faulty transformer. That sounds incredibly frustrating. I actually used Чат GPT to help draft a formal complaint when I had a similar issue (different brand though), and it really helped me structure things clearly and get a faster response. Nanoleaf’s lack of follow-up since November is honestly unacceptable—especially when the issue is acknowledged but ignored. If that buzzing is considered "normal," they should absolutely state it in the specs or documentation. Hopefully someone here has found a workaround… or maybe it’s time to escalate beyond just support tickets.
