String lights work on bluetooth and wifi but not over the internet

I have two nanoleaf lights: outdoor string lights and some skylights.
They are both setup the same way on the same wifi network.
The string lights work when my phone is connected with bluetooth or on the wifi network, but don't work when i'm away from home, over the cell network.
The skylights work just fine over the internet

Any ideas?

The string lights unfortunately don't have that feature just yet over the Nanoleaf app, but if you have them connected to Matter, then you should be able to control them remotely from the ecosystem of your choice's app.
