Lines product detail incorrect re maximum

Hi, I've recently been stocking up on Nanoleaf Lines and Elements kits, and my biggest setup consists of 18 lines based on the maximum quoted on the Nanoleaf website per a single power supply, however, once I'd finished adding the last piece to the design I noticed an error in the app that tells me I need to purchase an additional power supply (the brightness has also been reduced). Does anyone know why this is? Is this simply Nanoleaf not knowing what their own product limit is and misquoting the maximum on their website?? It seems odd that they sell a starter kit of 15 lines and expansion kits on multiples of 3; so one starter kit and one expansion kit immediately takes you over the initial power limit, which seems odd to me?
I contacted their support who basically used the website calculator and said that the maximum number of lines with one PSU is 17, not 18 (even though their website says otherwise in multiple places). I also find it odd that when using the Layout Assistant it actually counts the number of 'hubs/controllers' rather than the actual lines e.g. if you take the count to zero and then tap the '+' the first number you get is a 2, but only shows one line, whilst their other products count the number of actual panels.
Even more annoying, support haven't commented on the disparity between their calculator and product details and instead offered for me to 'buy' another power supply from them as they have them in stock. Thanks Nanoleaf.

I have the same problem but for now im gona get a new add on power suply to see if the one i have is faulty
Now i have 36 lines installed with a main power adapter from the starter kit and another add on power suply. So thats 2 x 18 lines i can use and it use to work fine but recently i get the same warning sign that shows my lines has been reduced to 80 % brightness. I tryed to remove 4 lines so im down on 32 lines and that seems to be the current limit. But it use to work fine with 36 lines. Another guy on reddit told me he had same problem with his starter kit and one power adapter only.

Now when i get my 3rd adapter then i can try and rule out problems. But it could be a bug in the latest firmware.

@Psycrow hold off for a few days on buying the 3rd adapter. I am looking into this. It might just be a bug.

I’ve now dealt with 3 different support people and all come to the same conclusion; you need more power supplies even though that’s not what the specs for the Lines state. It just seems like if a design is ‘closed’ you’re ok, but if it’s an open design i.e. a line that doesn’t link back up to itself, it will cause problems. It’s just a shame that it isn’t made clearer in the product details.

Based on my investigation this is a firmware bug. It should be released as soon as this week, and the warning will go away.
Apologies for the confusion.

Allright. I have disabled 4 lines for now until the update is ready. So i can have 100 % brightness.

My lines are closed design. So i still believe its a bug like Aliakbar says

When can we expect this bug to be fixed Aliakbar Eski
Do you also work in the weekends ?

Psycrow

9.5 is out today. Does it fix the problem ?'
Where can i see patch notes

Psycrow

I just updated but it dident fix anything..i can only install 32 lines and not 36.
So it dident fix anything for me. Now i still need to request a 3rd power adapter
Since ur product states 18 lines pr power unit but in realty its limit to 16.
