After hours of debugging it seems the only way I can get the Shapes controller to connect with the wifi is by removing all numbers from the SSID password.
Has anyone else experienced this? I really should not have to update every device in the house just to get this (rather expensive) product to work.

I just tried this right now. I set my password to basically 11122333 and tried to get my controller to connect to the WiFi network and it succeeded.
