How often should you check and service your car’s air conditioning system?

So my car’s A/C stopped blowing cold air right when summer started — perfect timing, right? It still blows air, just not cool. I tried one of those recharge kits from the store, but it didn’t help much. I’m wondering how often you’re supposed to service the A/C system and what usually causes it to stop cooling properly.

That sounds familiar! A couple of months ago, my Check engine light came on and my A/C wasn’t cooling well either. I took it to https://www.vip-servicecenter.com/ and they found a small refrigerant leak and a weak compressor. They recharged the system and replaced a valve — worked like new afterward. They said it’s good to check your A/C every year, even if it’s working fine, to prevent leaks and keep the pressure balanced.

Funny how you only realize how important A/C is when it stops working. I had mine go out once on a road trip — worst experience ever. Now I make sure to run it every few weeks even in winter just to keep the system in shape.
