It would be awesome to be able to set the remote up to issue arbitrary json post/put requests. A form with name/value pairs and credentials for the transaction and a choice of post/put.
Then the remote could be used as a scene controller for home automation units and various other things. My kids would be able to use a single controller to control all lights and awnings in their rooms. Today, they have a remote for each function.
I could accomplish this using other scene controllers (controlling the nanoleafs from the home automation unit), but the nanoleaf remote is a lot more versatile (and fun to use) than most other controllers.
