I'm trying to connect my new nanoleaf Essentials Matter Smart Multicolor HD Lightstrip device to Home Assistant as I have done before with other nanoleaf devices.
According to your docs I try to acquire an access token, that works if I replace the POST through a GET request, but when I try to get the device information /api/v1/:access_token, it fails with an internal server error 500.
The only way to integrate my nanoleaf Essentials Matter Smart Multicolor HD Lightstrip is with the detour via Google Home, but than I can only select single colors and cannot access the scenes. That makes it almost worthless :-(
Hope to get some good advice here…
Hi @winter__shape__381
The API is still in BETA, and I havent had a chance to work with HA to iron out all the kinks. Rest assured, we will have it with work with HA soon enough in the new year.

Hello, are you planning to add animation API for the HD Lightstrip with each diode addressable separately? That would be a gamechanger :D
Hey @billowing__field__317
Yes, that is coming soon!

Any news on this?
How is your progress with making your new Matter devices work with Home Assistant?
Hey @winter__shape__381
Are you referring to the 'paint' feature? If yes, thats being worked on right now.
I haven't heard back from HA yet, let me ping them once again.

Hey Ali
I'm referring to the HA support for the new Nanoleaf Matter devices…
I thought so that this probably got stuck. I don't know with whom you're in contact with…
I'm already working with a custom Nanoleaf component in HA, because the developers of the official HA Nanoleaf component seem kind of "out of order"…
Where can I get some instructions of what has changed on your side so that I can bring the HA Nanoleaf component further…?
Best regards
Andy
Hey Andy, I will DM my email address to you. Lets take this over email.
