my nano leaf panel turns white for a couple second then just goes black

my nano leaf panel turns white for a couple of second then just goes black but on the controller its says its one and I cant connect it to the app i tried to hard reset and soft but it just doesnt work

How do you use light to display Black? That makes no sense.
