Layout tool and connectors

I have 21 canvas panels that I would like to arrange in a 3 high by 7 wide layout. My 21 panels came with a total of 20 connectors. If I use the Nanoleaf App Layout Assistant for this 3x7 layout it wants me to use 21 connectors which is more than I have. I know I can connect all 21 panels with only 20 connectors because Ive successfully done so. My question is will I loose any functionality if I arrange the connectors differently than shown using the layout assistant? For example, will some scenes not work properly?

Nope, you don't need to follow the layout assistant. You can connect them anyway you like so long you have a panel connecting to any panel.
