Hello. Let me report:

Nanoleaf got automatically updated a few days ago with version 1.5.2. In the moment the windows App loads, the PC start to freeze and all applications (including task manager) become harder to use, and the Nanoleaf window never shows. Killing the nanoleaf process stops the freezes.

It was working just fine with previous version.

same here with latest version 1.5.2.0, i already wrote to the support, but hey asked me to send a video. holy crap, what do you except to see in a video when the problem is, that the window does not appear… maybe…… NOTHING ?!?
i send a minidump in hope they forward it to the developers, but since 2 days, no feedback from support…. amazing….
so crazy thing is: the app worked with a very clean new win11 system…. after a while (of course) I installed my usual stuff I need to work….. and somehow…. i don´t know when exactly… the app stopped working… hanging in the processmanger doing nothing except eating CPU and RAM…. that´s all….. ;-((((

Found the thread and well, its a progress to see there are other people with the same issue. Previous version 1.5.1 was working just perfect, but the new version put some heavy load on my pc it just can't do nothing. Task manager does not report any high CPU usage, it's something else.

Do you might still have an older version that you can share?

Problem with older versions is they autoupdate in the moment you open it.

Lets wait for a new version to download, if it solves this issue, because there is no reply from dev team.

There is a sparkle of hope: at reddit, a support-lady has written to me, hopefully, she is able to bring attention to this.
Because the email support has been ignoring me for days.

Downloaded version 1.6.0 and tested, but problem persist. As soon as the nanoleaf desktop app start, the computer start freezing.

thats the problem. remove the other 2 before you start the app. as soon as the the app window is there, re-connect your other 2 monitors. if even that does not help: disconnect all 3, wait 10 seconds…. then connect them again, the app window should then be opened and usable. it´s a "monitor issue" and this is 100% reproducable. i don´t know how this behaves on a regular PC, but on my notebook the app works without any problems as long there is no external monitor connected to my notebook. as soon as i disconnect the external monitor, the app starts as usual. after that, i can reconnect my monitor and everything is working fine.

version 1.6.1 is out and with that the issue is fixed, at least for me.
